I am blessed to belong to a church whose pastor received a calling to help children in Africa who are orphaned due to the Aids epidemic.  After many years of work which included purchasing land, building homes and finding children in need, Breath of Heaven accepted its first children two weeks ago.  The stories of how these children survived is just amazing.  Most lived in one or two room shacks with no electricity or running water.  They were thrilled to have all that now and their own beds with sheets and blankets.  All things we take for granted. 

If you have been looking for a cause to help out, I would love it if you would check out the website for Breath of Heaven.  There are so many children in need in Zambia.  We are looking to build more homes on the property to bring in more children, and we need sponsors for some of the newer children that were just accepted.  If you cannot donate money but have a gifting please share it.  We had a lady in Arizona who made outfits for each of the children.  New clothing is such a luxury for them.  You could hold a garage sale with the proceeds going to the children.  Anything would be so appreciated.  Also there will be teams of people visiting the village this summer.  If you feel lead to take a big leap and help out in that way, you can contact the pastor through the website.  My husband went about five years ago, before we had even purchased land, and was so moved.  We have a 16 year old girl at our church who has gone every summer since she was 13.  It has changed the path for her life. 

We are a small church of around 60 people, but God can use us and he can use you too!
