A really enjoy history and biographies, so I was pleased to be able to read and review A Fifty-Year Silence: Love, War, and a Ruined House in France  by Miranda Richmond Mouillot. She share the story of her grandparents lives during World War II. She was on a quest to find out how they met and fell in love and then to figure out why how they lost that love. The story is not only about them, but about herself and the journey she took during this time. I really enjoyed reading about her grandparents, but I have to say that the parts of the story about herself are just not that interesting. At times I actually felt like there was really no need for it at all. Her grandparents story could very much have stood alone and made for a very interesting story. That being said, it was still a good read and if you love history I would recommend it.
