2 A.M. at The Cat's Pajamas

Most of the books I have been reading in recent years are by Christian authors and so I thought it was time to venture out of my comfort zone and try something new and the title alone, 2 A.M. at the Cat's Pajamas, definitely caught my attention. I thought it was a great title!

The book follows the lives of 3 people, in one neighborhood, in one day. The premise is great. I love how the author, Marie-Helen Buertino allows you to get to know each character so well. Many authors are not as gifted as she. The characters don't have perfect lives, each one has troubles and heartbreak, and we learn that and get to walk along with them for a day in their lives and see how they all connect at 2 A.M.

It was a quick read and kept me entertained the entire time, but I could have done away with some of the adult content and use of bad words. I am sure she felt it gave you more insight into these characters, but I am always disappointed to see them.

I received a free copy of this book to review from Blogging for Books. All opinions are 100% mine.
