A little confession...I always have to have a project going.  At least it seems that way.  After my 2 month long cheap kitchen redo, redoing my downstairs bathroom, repainting my china hutch...apparently I was ready for more!  We have a large patio cover (that my dad helped us build a few years ago) and a smaller one over our hot tub (bought it used, of course).  I decided to tackle the smaller cover and see what I could do to give it more character.  What I came up with was some lights and a painters tarp.  I bought a  Paint Essentials 9-Feet x 12-Feet Canvas Drop Cloth HW912  on Amazon, cut it to the right size, sewed up the hem and put grommets in it.  I had never done grommets before :)  I love it! Makes it feel more secluded.  If I could change one thing it would be the color, a little drab, but I had read comments on line that when people washed it the tarp shrunk a lot and I did not want to color it and wash it and have a chance that I would not have enough tarp to work with.

Have you done anything to spruce up your patio cover?  I would love to hear about them.  Click on the title of this post and leave us a comment :)
