I love when I get so enthralled with a book that I do not want to put it down and such was the case with An Outlaw and a Lady: A memoir of music, life with Waylon. Jessi Colter is the wife of Waylon Jennings. I am not a country music fan, but I am a biography fan, and this autobiography is amazing! I loved learning about Jessi, her early years traveling with her mother, her first marriage and then meeting Waylon and the years and trials they had. I enjoyed her sharing lyrics to some of her songs in the book, in context that made them have so much more meaning.

If you are a country music fan, you will definitely want to pick this up, but even if you are not, if you love learning about people, this is a great book to read!
