When I saw Evicted, I felt compelled to read it. The topic is one that intrigued me and I felt like I wanted to know more. I had never read a book that was piece of ethnography. I found the book very compelling and educational. To see the true struggles of people that have been evicted and how the system really makes it more difficult, rather than a help, was very eye opening. The next day at work we had a homeless lady come in and I found myself better able to relate to her plight, I felt like I could understand and sympathize more. I would not have felt the same prior to reading this book.

I would recommend this book to everyone. I feel it is our obligation to educate ourselves and understand others and their journey through life.
