I have to admit that when I received Farewell My Life I was a little worried. This is one big book! But as I started I realized that this would be a quick read because the author, Cynthia Sally Haggard, does a great job of bringing the characters to life. The story is based around the main character, Grace. When we first meet her she is 17 and to save she is niave would be an understatement. In fact at times I found myself getting frustrated at how little she knew, like she was a real person! The story continues as we see her move to another country, get married and divorced. The book kept me captivated the entire time. I could not wait for the ending! And that is where I hate to say I was disappointed. The two main characters die within a page or two of each other and then the book ends! NO!!!!! In my humble opinion there should have been more details leading up to their deaths and more of a wrap up afterwards. I wanted to so like this book from beginning to end, but personally the end left me frustrated!
