I get so geeked out with true stories so when I came across Fire on the Track, I could not wait to learn about the first women Olympians, in particular those that entered track and field events. The author, Roseanne Montillo, did such a good job of letting us into the lives of these ladies, giving such details of events and surroundings that you felt like it happened yesterday, not in the 1920's. The book covers 3 Summer Olympics and the ladies that participated. If you like to learn about history, the stories shared of the Berlin Olympics and Adolf Hitler, were astonishing and shocking, but very interesting.

This book speaks to many readers, those that love history, sports, true stories, trailblazing, etc.

I was given a copy of this book from Blogging for Books to read and review. All opinions are 100% mine.
