Still have some Olympic fever going on around our house so I was happy to be able to read Greater Than Gold by David Boudia, Olympic Gold Medalist.
David share a lot about his childhood in the book, the struggles he faced as a teen and young adult, and ultimately find Jesus along the way and how it changed is outlook on life. He candidly shares how his focus in the beginning was on winning and being known by others, but once he accepted Jesus his focus was on Him and how he could use his talents and how he could bless others. He does share his struggles, even after this first step of acceptance, but ultimately knowing Whose he was.
This book was published this year, but prior to the Summer 2016 Olympics, so you will not find anything in the book about that, which was a little disappointing, the book was a good read, even with out it.
I was given a copy of this book by BookLook Bloggers to review. All opinions are 100% mine.
