Let's Talk RSS Feed

Have you seen this symbol before? Ever wonder what it was? You might notice there is one on this page (on the right side). This symbol is an RSS Feed Symbol. Well what is that? RSS Feed is a simple way to get updates on your favorite sites. So, rather than going to each site when you get a chance, by subscribing to a site's RSS feed you will get a list with all the updates from every site you subscribe to.
If you click on the RSS Feed button on our site a new page will come up letting you know that This is a "feed" of frequently changing content on this site. That just means that I post a lot of items throughout the day. It will then ask you to subscribe and it will give you a list of options to do so. These will consist of:
*Live Bookmarks
*Microsoft Outlook
*Yahoo
*Choose an Application
So, depending on what you use the most, that is what you should select. If you have a Yahoo e-mail account and go to Yahoo frequently through out the day, then choose Yahoo. My personal favorite is Google. I do not have a G-mail account but love how the information is displayed. If you are interested in using Google for this purpose you will need to set up a Google account using any e-mail account and then go to Reader. This is their program that reads these feeds.
Imagine that you follow MomsFunMoney.com, ModernMom.com, and maybe a friend's blog. When you log into your account whether it be Google or Yahoo, you will get a list of all of the most recent happenings on these sites and they are in chronological order. If you need more information you just click on the title of the post and it takes you directly to that website. Such a quick, easy way to keep updated with your favorite sites.
I hope I have shed some light on RSS Feeds. If you have any questions or comments, please click on the title of this post and leave them there. I would also love it if you followed the Moms Fun Money RSS feed!
