To help celebrate the March 11th opening of the new Disney movie Mars Needs Moms, Socialmom.com had a fun topic on their site to write about.  What 10 things would your kids miss about you if you were abducted by Martians!  If you asked your kids they would never admit missing anything, but us moms know the truth.  Here are 10 things I know my kids would miss :)

1)  There would be no one to drive back to school to give them the items they forgot (i.e. lunch)  My son does this all the time!

2)  There would be no one to "gently" remind them to brush their teeth.  Trust me, even teenagers can't seem to remember this is something they should do.

3)  There would be no one to bake for them.  My husband is a great cook, but baking is my thing.  I know they would miss the cookies :)

4)  There would be no one to get up early with them and make their lunch.  I know my husband might do it for a few days and then would tell the kids they are old enough to do this themselves.  Us moms have that soft spot.

5)  There would be no one to sew back on buttons.  I know some men can sew, I am I am hoping my son will some day be just like that, but in our home I am the sock mender, button sewer oner.

6)  There would be no one to be their taxi driver - I know we can all relate to this!

7)  There would be no one to be their manicurist - Do not judge me for this one, yes my teenage daughter still wants me to paint and cut her nails

8)  There would be no one to find their lost things

9)  There would be no one to buy their favorite foods at the store, or even know what they are.

10)  There would be no one to document all their life, either in writing or scrapbooking.  They might not miss it right away, but when they are grown they would miss being able to look back and remember all the great times.
