I grew up a huge baseball fan. My dad and I would spend many summer days/nights watching the San Diego Padres play.So when I saw Miracle in Shreveport, I was very interested in reading it. I had no idea who the Benham brothers were, but upon receiving the book I found out that they had authored two other books together and were part of a controversy with HGTV a few years ago. After educating myself on them a little more, I started the book.

First off, I love how they go back and forth in writing and sharing the part of the story. It was soon effortlessly and led to the enjoyment of reading the book. We learn that their father is a pastor who grew up loving baseball. That love was passed down to the boys (twins). We learn about their summer trips each year and how they would stop and pray at a minor league stadium in Shreveport each year, asking God to make a way for the boys to play baseball together in that stadium. The book follows their lives, from high school, college and eventually minor league baseball. We get an intimate look into their hearts and minds during this time, that I truly enjoyed. I will not give away the ending, but you will want to read it and find it out for yourself!

I received a copy of this book to review from BookLook Bloggers. All opinions are 100% mine.
