I have not been blessed with a large walk-in closet, but I am able to walk in it so I will not complain.  I am not a clothes hoarder, but I do love the thrill of getting something new.  About 1/3 of my closet is from the thrift store.  (We covered the history of thrift stores for me in a prior post :).

What I am is an organizer.  Love things to be neat and streamlined.  I know there are others of you out there :)  Here are a few of the things I have done in my closet that I have found useful.

**Organize clothing by color.  If I am feeling in a purple mood on any given day it is easy enough to find my purple clothing.

**I love my wooden hangers!  Before I had the mixture of colored plastic hangers and hangers given to you from the store you buy the items from.  I did want to be frugal though with my purchase and wooden hangers can be expensive.  I found the wooden hangers at Ikea and bought a lot, but still found that I needed a few more.  I was lucky enough to locate a pack of 3 at my local Dollar Tree store, but that was a few years ago so I am not sure if they still carry them.  Note:  I still have a few plastic hangers for those tops that slide off of wooden ones.

**Clothes box - On the upper shelf of my closet is a pretty box!  I bought it at the Container Store, an organizer's dream store.  I love the colors of this one.  I store larger sweaters that I do not use too often.  Living in California means I really have a year round wardrobe, so I have sweaters and short sleeved shirts all hanging together.  I know that in some colder places there really is a need for a better separation and these colorful boxes are a great way to store clothing when not in season.

How is your closet organized?  If you are brave enough, send us a picture of your organized closet and your tips and we will pass them along.
