Before you assume this is a book about gardening, let me assure you it is a wonderful novel by Julie Cantrell. I had heard her name before, but this was the first book I have read by her. Is it ok to admit that I picked it because I like flowers and the cover was pretty? Well, I did!
So, when I first started it I was a little worried. I am a pretty basic type of gal, and the book was very descriptive, giving you lots of details, but at the beginning I was side tracked by all the extra words. Let me assure you that the feeling did not last for long. The story pulled me in very quickly! I was impressed with the amount of research she must have undertaken to know as much about flowers as was shared in this story, and mind you the flowers were a backdrop to a very sweet story.
The ending was predictable, but it did not claim to be a good suspense novel. If you are looking to be swept away by a good, heart warming story, and learn a little about gardening along the way, I would recommend this book,
