Day 2

What is your favorite holiday dessert?

I love most desserts but it has been a tradition for years to make Peanut Butter Balls.  My friend Janice's (love you Janice) family made them when I was growing up and we all loved them so much.  Think Reese Peanut Butter Cups in ball form!  Yum!

Here is the recipe in case you are interested.

1 Cup of Peanut Butter
2 Cups of Graham Cracker Crumbs
1 Box of Powered Sugar
1 Cup of soft Margarine
1 package of Chocolate Chips (I prefer milk)
1/2 block of Parafin wax (found in the baking aisle of your local stores)

Mix the peanut butter, margarine, graham cracker crumbs and powered sugar in a bowl.  It is usually easiest to do this with your hands.  Have the kids help, they will love it.

Roll the dough into balls (either nickel or quarter size)

In a double broiler (or two pans of different size with one inside the other) melt the parafin wax.  Once it is melted add the chocolate chips.  Once they are melted dip each ball into the chocolate.  Allow them to dry on wax paper and enjoy!  We will be making 2 batches this year!
