I was intrigued to read
The Last Con
by Zachary Bartels, one because I had not heard of the author before and two, the story line caught my attention. An con man who leaves prison, looking to redeem himself, gets pulled back in to another job. Bartels does a great job of weaving in information from the 1700s into the modern day tale in a way that is so intriguing. The book did not capture my attention from the first page, but once I had some time to just relax, sit back and allow the story to develop in my mind, I wanted to keep on reading.
If you like a little suspense, with a little history weaved in, you will enjoy this story.
