Now, I do not want you to think that each week I am out at the thrift stores, but it has happened two weeks in a row now. Maybe it was because I found such great deals last week. Friday night we visited Salvation Army before they closed at 9pm since it was their 50% off sale day. My husband purchased 4 books. As you might remember, last week I was looking for a round mirror but could not find one. Well, I found one! It was brand new, still in the box so I grabbed it. It was still $10, but I knew that since it was brand new it was a good deal. Here is where it is hanging, waiting for Clara from France to stay in the room!
Today my daughter and I visited our local Assistance League thrift store. We bought three items. A brand new (tags still one) shirt for her for $6 and then I purchased another jar, if you saw my post from last week this might be becoming an obsession, but it was only $1 and I purchased a fun Avon perfume bottle for 20 cents.
Our last stop was an antique store. They were having a sale, and I love what I bought. Normally Pyrex is a little pricey at antique stores, but I was able to get a large bowl for only $6, and it matches the casserole dish I purchased at Goodwill last week. HAPPY DANCE!!! I also purchased a cute little vase for $7 and a planter that we will put succulents in and place on our coffee table for $6.
Have you gone out and gotten some deals lately? We would love to hear what you got and how much it was. Click on the title of this post and leave your comments!
