This is not the type of book I normally read, and I still cannot say why I chose it, but I am so glad I did! Truth Doesn't Have a Side is the story of Dr. Bennet Omalu. He is the doctor who first discovered CTE in NFL players. What I love about the book is that it does not start off with stats and science, but instead we get to know Dr. Omalu. How we grew up in Nigeria, how he got to be a doctor in the U.S. We get to learn more about his personality and then he introduces us to the faithful day when he met a former NFL player who had died.
Whether you have children playing football, watch football or just like to know more, this book is for you. I found it kept my attention the entire time and the day after I finished reading it a friend posted on her Facebook page about how a family member (teen) had just gotten a concussion from a high school football game and I pointed her towards this book.
