I was intrigued to start reading When Through Deep Waters. The plot looked like a good one, a five year old dies in a pool drowning and we journey with the mother afterwards. I knew it was a Christian book and was curious to see where the author went with it.

I have to say, that unfortunately for me, I did not enjoy the book. It was a little abstract for me. Even after reading it I am not sure if my understanding of the children characters in the book is what the author intended. I will admit I will take a good non-fiction book any day, but read plenty of fiction and usually can completely understand what the book is about, but not with this one.

I received a copy of this book to review. All opinions are 100% mine.
